MWR is preparing for summer with renovations at Carney Park pool.
At the moment, the pool house is getting worked on.

Founded in 1966, Carney Park is a 96-acre recreation area. It is one of the most unique parks in Europe due to its location within an extinct volcanic crater. Watch this video to take an armchair tour of the park.

Disc Golf

  • All ages and all experience levels are welcome. Children must be accompanied and supervised by parents at all times.
  • 18-hole course is located throughout the park.
  • Download a course map and caddy book here, or pick them up at Carney Park Outdoor Recreation.
  • Bring your own disc or rent a disc for $1 at Outdoor Recreation.
  • Weekly pick-up games and tournaments are organized year around. Ask Outdoor Recreation staff for details.

 

Pickleball

 

Fun for all ages and all experience levels. Bring your own equipment or rent paddles, balls and nets at the Outdoor Recreation Center at Carney Park.

Four Pickleball courts are located on Carney Park tennis courts 3 and 4. No reservations required. Courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Authorized patrons

Patrons with access to Carney Park include:

  • U.S. active-duty and retired military
  • Reserve military on orders
  • DOD civilians
  • Dependents of the above three groups
  • Carney Park Access Card holders
     

Carney Park Access Card

The following groups may request or purchase an individual or family card to access Carney Park:

  • NSA Naples/tenant command Local National staff members may request an access card. Cards are available at the Capodichino or Support Site Welfare Recreation Association (WRA) office. For required documents to bring to the WRA office, please see the Carney Park SOP (under downloads.)
  • Currently enrolled non-U.S. DODEA/CYP Program Student families may request an access card. Cards are available at the park's main office.
  • JFC/NATO (red and blue ID card holders), U.S. Consulate and may purchase an access card. Cards are available at the park's main office.

Guests

All guests ages 4 years and older must have a guest pass. There are no refunds on guest passes purchased. The arrival of inclement weather after your entry into the park is not a justified reason to change your pass dates.

U.S. military, DoD civilians, JFC/NATO staff and AFGE Local #3712 members:

  • May sponsor and pay for up to four guests per adult ID cardholder (18 years and older).
  • Unused guest passes cannot be carried over from day to day or accumulated.

Local National staff

  • Each adult (18 years or older) Local National Carney Park Access Card holder may purchase up to four guest passes per day. Daily guest passes must be purchased in advance at the Capodichino or Support Site WRA office. (Events that have special guest procedures, such as Easter Eggstravaganza and Festa Americana, are not included in this policy.)
  • To purchase passes, you must bring your NSA Naples ID card and Carney Park Access Card. 
  • LN retirees are not authorized access to Carney Park.

Houseguests

  • Visiting family members with an NSA Naples Security Houseguest Pass may enter the park free of charge as long as Carney Park is specified on the Houseguest Pass.
  • Any NSA Naples Houseguest Pass holders may access the park and use its programs and facilities without being accompanied by their sponsor.
  • Houseguest Pass holders are not eligible for daily guest pass purchases.

Sponsor Responsibilities

  • Sponsor must escort guest during enter visit to Carney Park.
  • The sponsor is responsible for ensuring that their family members and guests adhere to the park rules. Failure to do so may result in suspension of the access privilege.
  • Patrons of the park are responsible for cleaning up the area used.
  • All trash must be disposed of in the provided receptacles.
  • The Sponsor is liable for any damages caused to the park facilities by themselves, their family or their guests.

Cabin rental and tent space reservations

Carney Park cabin rental and tent space reservations are available now! Stop Carney Park Outdoor Recreation Monday-Sunday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. or call 081-526-1579 (from U.S., please dial 011-39- before number) 

Cabin voltage details: Deluxe cabin, with private bathroom, has 110 and 220 volt. Other cabins have 220 volt only.

Reservations

Request an event form at mwrnaplescommunityrec@eu.navy.mil. Submit completed form to M-NA-NSA-OPS-AER-GS@OCONUS.NAVY.MIL at least 20 days before the gathering.

Rules

  • Children must be accompanied and supervised by parents at all times.
  • Reservation and payment required. Call 081-526-1579 or Monday-Friday 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
  • If you violate the rules, you risk losing your access to the park.

Dog Park rules

  • Three household units and dogs per section.
  • People fully vacinnated must wear a face covering when not able to keep 6 feet/2 meters from an individual who does not live in the same household. Partially or unvaccinated people must wear a face covering at all times while on NSA Naples property.
  • Set dial clock for the time you arrived.
  • If others are waiting to use the dog park, limit your use to 20 minutes.
  • Dogs must remain on a leash in all other areas of Carney Park. (Do not close gates to a field and unleash your dog.)
  • Please follow the rules, so your dog may enjoy the dog park and everyone may enjoy Carney Park.
