Pompei

Visit Pompei with a guide. See the Villa of Mysteries, a suburban villa, located 400 metres northwest of the town walls and separated from the city by a road with funerary monuments on each side. The villa was built with an open colonnade surrounded by terraces, much like other large villas of Pompeii. This villa did not suffer much damage during the eruption of 79 A.D. so you will be able to admire the extraordinary frescoes which give the name to the villa. Visit very fine rooms, a wine-press and, of course, the plaster-of-paris casts of the bodies found here.
