Pompeii Ruins and Cameo Factory
Visit the historical and unique archeological site of Pompeii and learn the history and stories behind the Villa of Mysteries and other ruins. Located some 400 metres northwest of the town walls of Pompeii, separated from the city by a road with funerary monuments on either side, the Villa of Mysteries was a suburban villa with a close relationship to the city but not part of it.
During the 79 AD eruption of Vesuvius, the villa did not get very damaged. The majority of its walls, ceilings and, most particularly, its frescoes survived. Learn the mysteries of the villa through what is depicted.
