Visit Pompei ruins as you enter through the Porta Marina entrance, the most impressive of the seven gates to the city. It originally connected the city to the nearby harbor and is the entrance to a bustling, but beautiful area. You will be fascinated by the sight of two dominant arched entryways, followed by a visit to the forum, the main square of the city, as you imagine the busy life of the citizens who came here every day to meet each other, gossip, run business or worship.
Not stroller friendly.
