Naples Underground

This tour will take you 136 steps approximately 40 meters below the busy and lively streets of the historic center of Naples where you will find a different world, unexplored, isolated by time, but deeply connected with the world above. It's the heart of Naples, the place where the city was born. The 'Napoli Sotteranea' (Naples's Underground) is an important link to the city's ancient past of over 2400 years ago. The underground captures Naples's dynamic past from the foundation of the Greek city of Neapolis, to the remains of a Roman theater (where Emperor Nero had his private dressing room when he performed in Naples!), and Roman aqueducts, to the bomb shelters of WWII. This guided tour underneath Naples is a must-see and what better way to do it than with your MWR Tickets & Travel group
