Festa Americana FAQs
Q: Who is eligible to attend Festa Americana?
A: The following may enter Carney Park and attend Festa Americana:
- U.S. military/civilian DoD ID card holders and immediate family members at no charge
- U.S. contractor ID card holders and immediate family members at no charge
- Local National ID card holders who are not Carney Park Privilege card holders may purchase a guest wristband for themselves
- Local National/JFC/U.S. Consulate/Navy League Carney Park privilege card holders and family members printed on back of card at no charge
- Individuals with Support Site houseguest passes at no charge

Q: May I bring guests to Festa?
A: Yes, U.S. military/civilian DoD ID card holders, U.S. contractor ID card holders, Local National/JFC/U.S. Consulate/Navy League Carney Park privilege card holders 18 years and older are eligible to sponsor up to four guests.
All guests five years and older must have a wristband. (Children four years and younger are not required to have a wristband.)
Guest wristbands are $10 each.
June 18-July 3, you may purchase guest wristbands (credit/debit card only) at Capodichino and Support Site Tickets & Travel offices and Carney Park Outdoor Recreation during normal office hours.
NO wristbands will be available for purchase on July 4.
NO person five years and older will be admitted into Carney Park without an ID, privilege card or wristband.
Guest entry begins at 4 p.m.
Guests are not required to be with their sponsor for entry into Carney Park. However, each guest five years and older must be wearing a wristband before the first checkpoint into the park.

Q: What time may I arrive for Festa Americana?
A: Patrons with normal access to Carney Park may enter any time on July 4. Guests may enter Carney Park beginning at 4 p.m. and it is encouraged that everyone enter before 9 p.m.
Q: What time are the fireworks?
A: Fireworks begin at 10 p.m.
Q: Is there transportation from the Support Site to the Carney Park?
A: Yes, roundtrip bus transportation is available from/to Support Site for people who have access to Support Site. Cost is $10 for roundtrip ticket per adult (kids 13 years and younger are free to ride, but need a ticket to reserve a seat). June 16-July 3, you may purchase tickets at Capodichino and Support Site Tickets & Travel offices during normal operating hours.

Q: Where are the bus pick-up locations?
A: On Support Site, the bus will leave from the parking lot to the right (north) of Fitness Forum. On Carney Park, the bus will leave from behind (west) of the pool.
Q: Are there items I cannot bring into Carney Park?
A: The following items are prohibited at Festa Americana:
- Glass bottles
- Drones
- Wheeled recreational vehicles such as skateboards, rollerblades, bikes, scooters etc. (People staying in Carney park cabins may bring these wheeled items, but the equipment must stay in the cabin during the event,)
Q: There didn’t seem to be enough parking last year at the event.
A: Two parking areas will be available this year to provide more parking.
Q: What is being done to avoid the long vehicle lines to get in?
A: Two parking areas and two gates will help ease entry into the park.
Q: Are there cabins or camping space available to rent?
A: A drawing for the opportunity to rent a Carney Park cabin during Festa is being held. Deadline for entering the drawing is noon on Friday, June 20. For more information, go to https://www.navymwrnaples.com/festa-americana/cabins-for-festa. A limited number of tentsites are available on a first-come, first-served reservation basis. To reserve a tentsite, please call 081-526-1579.
Q: May I bring my dog?
A: Only service animals (with documentation) are authorized. Emotional support animals are NOT allowed.
Q: May I bring my pet if I am staying in one of your pet-friendly cabins?
A: Yes, you may bring your pet if you are staying in a pet-friendly cabin. Pets must stay inside cabin at all times from 4 p.m.-Midnight during the Festa Americana event.
Q: Is there anything new at the event?
A: A Carousel, and Ferris wheel will be available for a fee. Also, adult games will be near the beverage tent, and a photo 360 booth will be available for a fee.
Q: What activities are there for youth?
A: The Youth Zone is available from 4-9:30 p.m. for kids up to 18 years old and still in high school. The area includes a variety of inflatables, and is free. Also, amusement rides (carousel and Ferris wheel) will be available at $2/€ 2 per ride. Cash only will be accepted at the ride. Punch cards will be available for purchase at the MWR Beverage tent with credit/debit card.
Q: Will there be a beer tent?
A: Yes, MWR will operate a beverage tent selling beer, wine, soft drinks and water.
Q: Do you have a big name entertainer playing this year?
A: Festa Americana will have six hours of live entertainment that will keep the high-energy vibe going throughout the event. This year’s bands include:
- The Essential, a Bruce Springsteen tribute band
- Bad Name, a Bon Jovi tribute band
- Frogs, a country/rock band
- Flagship, the U.S. Naval Forces Europe and Africa band
A live concert by country singer Raelynn will be held Tuesday, July 8 at 7 p.m. in Central Park at Support Site.
Q: In the past, there were very long lines for food vendors and many ran out of food early. What is being done to avoid this?
A: There are 15 food vendors in addition to food available at the Navy Exchange tent.
Q: May I reserve a pavilion and grill on July 4?
A: Pavilions and grills are not available to rent on July 4 because they will be used at the event.
Q: Will the NEX be there again this year and what will they sell?
A: Navy Exchange will have a tent at the event again. NEX will be selling camping chairs, beach chairs, outdoor blankets, beach towels, festive patriotic clothing and flags, outdoor toys and games, bubble markers, earplugs, sunscreen, bug repellent, bagged chips, water, soft drinks and bags of ice.
NEX sales will be cashless. Please pay for items purchased at the NEX tent with a credit/debit card.
Q: Will the Carney Park pool be open?
A: MWR is working diligently to have the pool open by July 4. Please monitor the MWR Facebook page and this Website for the latest information.
Q: Will the golf course be open?
A: Carney Park Golf Course will be closed on Friday, July 4.
Q: What happens if the weather is bad?
A: The event and/or fireworks may be canceled if inclement weather, for example lightning is observed, high winds, etc. Please monitor the MWR Facebook page, NavyLifeNaples app and this Website for the latest information.
